Stadium 43:19 is the past football stadium in Rio Hondo, Texas across from the elementary. This stadium sat vacant until last year when it was purchased by a nonprofit to be used for ministry purposes. Family friendly events, kids sports camps, 5k run starting location, recreational soccer and football tournaments, Christian concerts and festivals, church picnics, youth events, and more. It has large indoor air conditioned restrooms, lots of parking, renovated bleachers, a nice football field and track, and eventually great indoor meeting space. We can’t wait to explore the full potential of Stadium 43:19.
The first event to be hosted at the stadium will be Christmas in January on January 17, 18, 24, 25. We will also be hosting a Junior High Night on January 23rd.
Christmas in January will include 12+ Carnival rides and attractions, a petting zoo, pony rides, Jurassic RGV, a HUGE Christmas Light Show set to music (with the help of Cantu’s Christmas Shenanigans), fun food vendors, a large variety of local vendors, a Christmas trail with photo ops, backdrops, animated wireframes, and thousands of lights. We hope this becomes a new family tradition, because Christmas should be celebrated all year.
Christmas in January will be hosted by Big Red’s Ranch as a fundraiser to reopen the ranch and provide summer camps for kids in the RGV.
